Temps never even get close to freezing in ATL. I think any big issues will be west of y'all.kory bud how is it looking east of you in ATL?
This is what I'm going with. I just don't see the temps getting cold enough quickly enough.
I haven't looked at the HRRR but it is lagging with CAA majorly. This might be nothing for AL this run.Something of note is the NAM, according to a TV met in the BHM area I talk with, is not initializing right AT ALL. Sfc temps at initialization vs obs were off by 8-9 degrees in areas.
The same models that the weather-guessers were using 72 hours ago, 24 hours ago, and 1 hour ago, led to the Governor of Alabama declaring a state of emergency, schools closing all over North Alabama, and now those models are showing it may not do much of anything. Clown shoes.
As long as my kids are out, mission accomplished. And they're out so I don't have any grief. I just laugh at this model obsession every time. They are pretty much guessing like we all are until such a time as it is so close to the snow event that we can all figure it out within an hour or 2.And this here is stage 2 of the 5 stage grief model ladies and gentlemen.
How do you like this particular model in terms of accuracy?![]()
The Barron model...
Across Alabama? Or further West? A quick look at the 18z doesn't look 8-9 degrees off at all. Then again, I'm on my phone, so I may be missing something.Something of note is the NAM, according to a TV met in the BHM area I talk with, is not initializing right AT ALL.
