Wow that couplet ramped up fast... at such a bad time, going right into Cairo.

That couplet only ramped up two frames before hitting town. Dropped a strong tor just in time for a direct hit. HORRIFYING.

"At least EF3" is also standard for initial violent tornado surveys, generally, so would not be shocked at all to see them note a few EF4 damage points tomorrow.

I stayed in Sopchoppy for a few days for a youth trip as a kid. Luckily it stays well north. Now warned at least

That's over Appalachicola National Forest so yeah I doubt much structural damage. Might take down the few trees that Michael spared though.

It was Hurricane Michael, but yes, hopefully it went over a sparse area that already had the trees downed from last year.
