I started to ask about this earlier todayThe west and south shift continues on the 12z Euro. Major hurricane at both landfalls on the South Atlantic Florida coast and the Gulf Coast.
Very rare. Dora in 1964 was the last one, I believe? How rare is it to get a major hurricane land falling on the east coast of Florida north of West Palm Beach?
What about Jeanne in 2004? It was Cat 3 and landfall at Port St. Lucie.Very rare. Dora in 1964 was the last one, I believe?
Ahh, yes. I was thinking Vero Beach not West Palm Beach. What about Jeanne in 2004? It was Cat 3 and landfall at Port St. Lucie.
The strengthening short term means more south/west later in time. Not good.
Somewhere between Ft. Lauderdale and Vero Beach if I had to guess on current guidance. Might have to slide that south a touch if trends continue.I know it's way too early, but out of curiosity, what's your prediction as to where the center of circulation will come on shore in Florida?
