So with this unexpected intense strengthening does this also make storm surge higher in the big bend than forecasted? It was already like 20 feet
Pressure drops will likely exacerbate surge, yeah.

This storm looks really scary. My brother-in-law is in Tallahassee. He lives about 15 minutes south of town toward Crawfordville. I wish he had left, but he did not he sitting with neighbors.
