Seems like this will be one of these days with spin ups that come and go.

I like what the NWS office in St. Louis does and doesn’t issue a tornado warning for every single spin up in a squall line but in their severe thunderstorm warnings mention that the squall line could produce brief, spin up tornadoes without warning and to treat it like a tornado warning. That cuts down on the false alarm ratio.

Tuscaloosa County tornado warning now too. Had a strong couplet briefly. This is quite the impressive line

Mesoscale Discussion 0256
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
1241 PM CDT Sat Apr 14 2018

Areas affected...southeast Mississippi through southwest and and
north central Alabama

Concerning...Tornado Watch 47...48...

Valid 141741Z - 141915Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 47, 48 continues.

SUMMARY...Threat for damaging wind and a few tornadoes will persist
this afternoon with greatest threat next few hours from southeast MS
through western and north central AL. A severe storm might also
occur just north of the current WW and affect a small part of the
Huntsville county warning area...primarily Cullman county.

DISCUSSION...Line of storms with embedded bowing segments and
mesovortices from north central AL through southeast MS and
southeast LA continues east at around 30 kt. VWP data show mostly
unidirectional wind profiles, but 0-1 km hodographs and effective
bulk shear remain supportive of organized structures. Some temporary
lowering of dewpoints has occurred in eastern portion of the WW due
in part to mixing as well as advection of dry air to the east. This
along with expansion of cirrus canopy suggest the boundary layer
will probably not destabilize sufficiently to support much deep
convection away from the squall line. Other storms with some
supercell characteristics are developing in proximity to the warm
front over northern AL and may move a county or two north of current
WW.

That new tornado warning in Hale appears to be for a small isolated cell out ahead of the line. Very interesting

Seems the line has gone into a lull now that it has reached I-65.
Agreed. There has been almost no movement eastward in the last hour. Kind of strange. At 3 pm the leading edge of storms was just west of Selma. Here at 4pm the line has still not reached Selma (unless my GRLevel3 is not loading updates).

WSFA just sent a push notification hinting the severe threat was increasing?

With no severe weather warnings in the past hour and a half in Alabama, one has to wonder if the SPC will bother issuing a tornado watch for the eastern part has to state.

Well there looks to be some rotation in the Chilton, Autauga, Coosa area, may need to watch for a quick spin up.
