seems to me that this is kind of normal until we begin the IR start, that's when models start to catch up...or maybe they are better than that now?

Dry air has prevented Helene from taking off. Gonna be interesting if that continues to be a major factor up until landfall

As of the latest advisory, the pressure is down to 972, but winds are still at 85 mph.
