Yeah that thing was pretty beastly. The DAT notes that the damage it produced was near-EF4.

Tropical Depression Fred has spawned a damaging tornado a few miles southeast of Greenville, SC. The town of Mauldin appears to have taken a direct hit.

Well this watch was a total Forecasted Convective Amplification Deficiency (didn't even rain here). However, there's a tornado warning for Limestone Co., including Athens.

The text for the second Limestone Co warning said confirmed tornado and heading for Madison Co. Warning ends at 7:15, wonder if HUN will extend it to Madison Co?

James Spann posted on his Facebook page that 10 fatalities have been confirmed from the flash floods in middle Tennessee this morning.
Hopefully it goes without saying that everyone here knows that tornadoes are more than meets the eye. The "wispy" looking clouds could easily lead someone to assume a weak tornado (and not a high end EF3), but that cloud motion is something else.
