Well, if they do start one, here's a relevant but probably dumb question: why do events like this and the terrible 2010 rains hit Middle Tennessee?I'm starting to wonder if the flash floods in Tennessee yesterday need their own thread. A sheriff in Tennessee says at least 22 people are dead any many are missing after record-setting rain caused devastating flooding that swept away homes.apnews.com
Saw reports that debris was thrown up to 23,000 feet, which would indicate a fairly strong tornado. There are reports of homes in Mullica Hill completely leveled with no walls standing. This could have been a violent tornado. Other homes suffered probable EF3 level damage.
Obviously we won't know for sure until NWS Mount Holly does a damage survey though.
