Severe WX May 2019 Plains Severe Event

That storm near Blair blew up pretty quickly. We’re not out of the woods yet.

Of course at this point it might get ingested by the storm to its north.

It's gonna get swallowed into the Mangum storm, but at least it's SOMETHING. Afraid we get some after dark stuff if there's enough to overcome the poor lapse rates.

The cell that's currently merging with the Granite cell itself has a substantial couplet (currently located near the southern side of Lake Altus).

Could be a merger that leads to a quick significant tornado. But if the storm doesn't hook right it's going to cross the boundary into cool stable air...

Taking in the big radar picture, from Midland, Tx, arching all the way up to Pawnee, Ok, it's tempting to conclude that overall storm mode is currently evolving from discreet/semi-discreet to linear. This was predicted by the cams all along, the question was when. There could still be semi-discreet cells that go TOR but I believe we are in the early stages of the changeover.

I mean they're at 39kft, that's the best we've gotten in a few hours in the warm sector... we'll see

Showers rapidly growing in that area but they're super close together, which makes me think they're gonna cluster. Complex stuff

Dryline is fairly discrete so far which is surprising given shear vectors. Spur storm has big potential short term.
