Severe WX March 3rd-5th 2025 Severe Weather Threat

I think this is just the classic tension in every wx community, and it’s not unique. You have people who look forward to this from a chasing perspective and if that doesn’t pan out, they are disappointed. No one is expressing disappointment there hasn’t been destruction. That’s just a weak argument.
I understand the tension. I have it internally in myself and struggle with it at times. I mean I have "TornadoFan" in my username after all.

I don't understand your argument. I don't quite understand what you're getting at. Was it overhyped? Are you upset that we're discussing weather on a weather forum? Are you projecting what one or two posters said as what the whole forum thinks? Heck if you ask me based on the 50mph gusts I hear out my window, I still can justify a wind driven MDT.

Nontheless, I'm not gonna keep cluttering this thread. Sorry for the derailment.

This event isn't over.

I think you need to slow your roll there kid. No one singled anyone out. No one is upset. You started replying to me because I guess you thought I was singling you out. This conversation is over. If you want to continue trying to argue, DM me. I’d be happy to hash it out there. Otherwise, can it.

I mean it's not like one model run caused the start of the thread. Multiple runs were showing a potent setup. The SPC had eyes on it over a week ago.

It was only like the 10th D6 30% in history. I don't understand why that wouldn't be worth it's own thread. Not every setup has to be 4/27
In the tradition of John Oldshue, (if you know, you know)

I think we have the technology we can require a moderator to approve, but I don't want to go that route. Feel free to move this discussion and any potential proposals to the thread that outlines the rules for these threads. Glad to discuss more there (I'm mobile and not able to go grab that thread and post here). It is something like "Mega Farmer's Almanac of Severe Weather Rules sponsored by California Psychics. :)

Now, something weather-related. I know there are a lot of people in the Carolinas who ware ready for that rain to head their way.

I don't want everyone to get the idea that some of us are disappointed the event downtrended over the past week. Hell, I wish every that happened every time. I'd much rather things play out this way, so I just wanted to clarify I'm not bummed out or whatever you think.

That’s ridiculous, you don’t have to defend yourself. No one in their right mind would want a major event with destruction.
