Yep, just came to post that.Laurel, MS just got hit.
The damage in North Alabama was done by tornadoes embedded within a QLCS. Don’t think the tornado threat drops to zero and it’s magically all better because storm mode changes.
I make that drive on I-59 from Tuscaloosa to NOLA for the holidays. Will need to keep an eye out for tree damage where it crosses the interstate.Confirmed large tornado northeast of Laurel. Looks like it passed north of the center of the city at least.
