Severe WX Sunday March 3 Severe Threat

How are the severe weather parameters in north Florida between Tallahassee and Jacksonville this evening? My grandma lives in that part of Florida and goes to bed early and need to know what to tell her for what she can expect.

Couplet near Hazlehurst and Lumber City looking REALLY nasty. Afraid there are strong tornadoes hitting cities we're barely aware of now due to the multitude of cells and radar distances.

Ah yeah, I remember that one I think. Or hearing about it. I really hope radar-based measurements are kept and documented so that one day in the future a database can be put together that doesn't rely as much on damage measurements.
of course that works when better when the radar at the center of the outbreak doesn't fail....

places in Macon are reporting some substantial straight-line wind damage too, windows blown out at one of the hospitals and it bent a flagpole over a few feet above the ground

it's a long way from KFFC but man that Marshallville couplet is nasty. surprised we aren't hearing anything about a tornado there. it's passed through mostly rural areas but it's coming into a more populated area. my dad's office is north of Fort Valley so he should be okay (I made sure he held off on his afternoon trip to feed the animals until it passes) but that could cause problems if it gets toward Perry and the southern suburbs of Warner Robins, which are more densely populated areas.

Looks like the one near Pine Mountain wants to rotate, seems to be slowly tightening up.

Super intense couplet and BWER passed either over or JUST north of Marshallville, GA. Let's hope it was either not down or that the population center there is clustered south of town.

it might have shot the gap between the downtown area of Marshallville and the subdivision south of Fort Valley. once you get out of town there are a few farms but it might have missed the most populated areas. it's moving into a much more populated area now though. Houston County is much more densely populated than Macon or Peach

okay, now FFC is confirming a tornado near Marshallville, this could be a very bad situation if it stays down across and east of 75. sorry for like posting novels every 30 seconds but this is where I grew up so I guess I know the area well.
