That VWP is absolutely absurd. I have a feeling today has more to it then thought, very good backing, adequate profiles to support semi discrete storms. Steering towards a interesting day
I'm not a fan of that at all. And it's set up in a way that would set storms off on the I-20 belt, so lots of population centers in the way. Fingers crossed for no rush hour tornadoes.

If my screaming headache is any indication of this afternoon's potential, someone is in trouble. It started right before the line came through early this morning and nothing will ease it.

There was barely any change. Apparently they didn't even expand the 5% - they just removed part of the 2%.
