Severe Weather Threat November 24-25, 2025

I actually said yesterday to my friends and family that I had a feeling there was gonna be a cell that goes tornado warned through Katy/Bridgeland, then produces a tornado over Cypress and continues up to the Spring/Klein area. And sure enough… I was legitimately spot on.
So unexpected too. Like out of no where boom lol.

Unfortunately, I did have a friend suffer significant damage to their house in Klein from the EF2. They are all okay thankfully, just very shaken up.

I sent out a warning to a lot of my friends yesterday that there was a chance for tornadoes yesterday and i’ll admit, a lot of them thought I was just lying and trying to hype it all up. Next thing you know, an hour later there’s an EF2 on the ground. It caught a lot of residents in town off guard.

Oh no

The storms over Central AL remain well-behaved for now. Educated guess is that the weak LLLRs over the area with nominally-highest parameters are keeping the threat low but not zero. Still wouldn't rule out some surprises in East Alabama. Instability is surprisingly strong over parts of Central-to-Southern AL this afternoon.

I think this is why they didn’t up the TOR probs with their last update lol

I went and visited some of the damage in Mt Olive. In my opinion, it looks like tornado damage, ef0 type, damage is way to ceoncentrated. Interested to see if the national weather service rates it a tornado or just wind. Only about a mile from my house. Blessed we had zero damage and praying for those who did.

Thus far, staying quiet. But conditions still remain marginally favorable for severe storms for the next few hours across E AL and W GA.

Conditions are marginally favorable for a brief tornado or two out of this cluster in SW AL currently. As stronger forcing comes into play, i suggest further cells should develop and maybe a brief nocturnal damaging wind/brief tornado threat for a bit should reinvorginate. Nothing concerning though.

Question (maybe for a different thread?):

Did anyone notice all of the flooding and volcanic eruptions on 11/25/2025?

I am going to look in other threads. The earth is starting to do things it has never done before.
