Severe Weather Threat 12.26-12.29.2024

Tornado warning extended into Alabama for the Mississippi tornado warning.

Why is it the storms of interest are almost always either right on top of a radar site (earlier Mobile one) or as far as possible from all of them - this one being nearly in the middle of a square between KDGX, KMOB, KBMX and KGWX?

They have got to get a new radar near Meridian. There used to be one but it got wiped out by a tornado decades ago.

Growing more concerned not only about the parameters, but from the public's reaction. Just from what I've seen - at least in north Alabama - people seem to either not care or just flat out ignoring tomorrow's threat. I don't want to start a panic, but I'm starting to use stronger wording in my posts on FB. It's been a long time since we've had a tornado threat, and I'm worried about fatalities due to complacency.
Which is sad bc people never take it seriously until it happens to them. We see this time and time again, especially in Dixie where you would THINK people know better.

While the chances of being impacted by a tornado are slim, it only takes ONE to ruin your life.

Thanks for helping to warn people.
