1,741 confirmed tornadoes for 2024 according to wiki. Only 2004 had more with 1,817 tornadoes.

I just saw that about 30 minutes ago.The Bude, MS tornado has been upgraded to a EF-3 with winds of 140mph.
SO FAR THERE WERE 67 TORNADOES CONFIRMED ON DECEMBER 28TH WITH 3 OF THEM BEING EF2 AND ANOTHER 3 WERE EF3. ADDITIONALLY THERE WAS ALSO 24 TORNADOES CONFIRMED ON DECEMBER 29TH. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tornado_outbreak_of_December_28–29,_2024

There are now 97 tornadoes that have been confirmed. 67 from December 28th and 30 from December 29th. Also the tornado that tracked near Port Arthur was increased from 65.98 miles to 68.42 miles.I also wanted to let others know this was the second largest December tornado outbreak ever recorded with 91 tornadoes occuring on December 28th and December 29th.
