Severe Weather 3/4 - 3/8

Also question: How are tornadoes rated that do ONLY significant damage to a vehicle? Like no other significant building damage. Trying to think of some cases.

Meanwhile in the Midwest...

HRRR just threw a curveball with a rogue supercell right through the Chicago metro at rush hour. Although I'd take it with a whole shaker full of salt given how it handled yesterday.

Image refuses to attach due to a "server error" for some reason. 16Z run at FH006 for those curious.

Environment it's depicted in would certainly support tornadoes. Interestingly, SPC maintains the 5%+CIG1 for southern Wisconsin but excludes northeastern Illinois.

Quite overcast as we approach noon. Satellite does show clouds thinning out to our south and southwest.
Here you go.

@WesL are you guys aware of the image uploading issues?

There aren't any DIs for vehicle damage right now and it's usually disregarded (at least for violent EF3+ ratings). The revised scale has a vehicle DI, but it's not very good. We'll see if it's better in the final version

It's been quite cloudy and in the 40s here in Mid Michigan (Flint area) all day today so far. I was wondering if that's gonna hamper any storm/tornado activity here? Even though I've been following tornado events for a few years now, I still have trouble understanding the nuances of setups.

Is anyone else unable to upload any photos in a message? I've been trying for the past few hours and it's just not working. Not sure if it's just a me thing.

Man, I'm gonna be hyperbolic for a sec and say there's a chance this becomes known as the Broyles outbreak, because he might've been right. I am straight up alarmed by these most recent model runs.

Check out these soundings (scroll right, I added labels for location). The thing that has me convinced is the high percentage of tornadic analogs with these soundings.
