Severe WX March 29-30, 2022 Severe Event

Will we see the post-midnight East Alabama magic tonight?

As Preacher said in Twister, "Hello!...s***."

Fortunately airmass is pretty stable here. This is the one that prompted the second warning for Perry a little while ago.

Mobile complex finally looks to be lining back out...warned for 70 MPH gusts.

At least we managed to avoid a derecho type event with widespread destructive straight line wind damage like we thought we would see. Though I know the non-thunderstorm gradient winds brought down plenty of trees and power lines.
The line just passed by my location in SW Blount County and was nothing notable. Winds were much higher this afternoon.
