Is the Base Velocity product not working for anyone else using the radar scope app on mobile? It can be helpful in messy/embedded storms like this and the app is saying it isn’t available to me.

Not much vearing of the winds or cape to work with. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to rotate but then just lose it.This is really reminding me of the Lake Charles, LA QLCS tornado event from last October.
Briensburg was hit by the EF4 Mayfield beast from last December. It “only” produced EF2 damage there, but I’m sure the locals are having a rough time.Possible CC drop north of Briensburg, KY.
Not so much now, but they definitely were in the Jackson, MS area. Not sure if we’ll see more as the line pushes east though. Not much vearing of the winds or cape to work with. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to rotate but then just lose it.
70/50 probs on that watch.Widespread gusts to 80mph is not a phrase I like to see, gonna be an unpleasant evening
Redwater cell is really wrapped up tight right now, with a strong couplet. Could be a significant tornado.

If this is from your phone, please charge it! That 8% makes me nervous LOLCirculation north of Redwater, MS. Just just TOR warned it, but unfortunately it was there for a few scans prior to the warning.
QLCS tornadoes are tricky to say the least.

Gotcha. I replied to Fred's post which is why I had asked him. Thanks Richard! You're definitely a met too!I am not Fred, but as you can see, higher Td's are not easily accessible to our south, lots of dry air over the northern GOM...Dothan has a Td of 54. You have to go further south to find 70, plus you have drier air aloft being mixed in counteracting what is advecting from the south...which is not very much.
