It has an eyewall like structure and banding consistent with a subtropical storm.Is Alpha much more than an MCV that happened to develop over the water? That water is pretty cold, and it's just SE of an upper level low. I get that it is labelled as sub-tropical and not tropical, but I'm not sure I agree with designating this with a storm name.
