Looks like the band coming out of MS is mostly sleet now.
Latest sounding from BMX. Big warm nose still there:

12z GFS big shift NW...Atlanta 1-2 inches of snow.
Ground truth out of Vernon, AL was big flakes per Spann's twitter feed.

Come on, column... cool down. Do not want this as ice.
Would likely at least start off as sleet/freezing rain. If/when the warm nose erodes, it could mix with or change to snow.

What I'm hearing that the evaporation will happen depending on timing....I hope it happens! Anti-ice!!
One good thing from the BMX sounding: the warm nose isn't quite as deep. Looks like it was about 6300 feet deep at 12z, and 4600 feet deep at 15z. It will be really interesting to see what the noon sounding shows.

Sleeting downtown. Temp hovering around freezing
