Severe WX December 10 & 11, 2021 Severe Threat

So apparently the BG tornado rating got taken down off the CRH page and revised back to EF3. This dissemination process is an absolute mess.

NWS Louisville has made it very clear on Twitter that they will not be rating the Bowling Green tornado EF4. No explanation, nor any mention of that brick veneer, anchor bolted, slab foundation duplex that was completely obliterated and swept away. They have firmly earned a spot on my WFO s**t list. Good job guys.
Glad to know me and Shakespeare 2016 aren't the only ones with a s**t list for NWS offices!

Well Friday and Saturday has definitely removed any shred of credibility that was left in the integrity of the survey or rating process, tornado rating is completely broken. Though that's been obvious since 2013-2014

I'm not sure a single tornado from the Super Outbreak would receive an EF5 rating today.
I've said the same thing many times about 5/31/85. At least two tornadoes that are, in my opinion, clear-cut F5s - plus a couple others for which at least an argument could be made - yet I have no doubt at all that none would be rated higher than mid-high EF4 were they to happen today. For that matter, of all the historically violent tornadoes I've written about, the only one I'm certain would still get an EF5 today is Bridge Creek. Jarrell, Joplin and Flint-Beecher might, but it'd probably depend on who was rating them. Not sure I'd put money on it.

Which, it's worth noting, would leave out tornadoes like 3/18/1925 Tri-State; 4/9/1947 Woodward; 4/6/1936 Tupelo; 7/6/1893 Pomeroy; 6/9/1953 Worcester; 4/11/1965 Sunnyside, Sheridan, Pittsfield & Coldwater Lake; 2/19/1884 Leeds, Piedmont & Philadelphia Church, etc.

I may put NWS in Paducah on mine as well.
