right call imo. a lot of heavey rain has saturated NE MS and into western and central TN so those areas are unlikely to destabilize before the storm are on by.

Conditions are just now getting ripe for tornadoes in Alabama. The watch goes up when the ingredients come into place. Therehas been virtually no tornado threat across Alabama until... well... coming soon still.

Definitely keep an eye on the large cell moving northeastward from McComb, MS. Isolated, lots of open parameter space to work with, and velocity shows increasing rotation with each scan.

Yep. A few cells now getting a look to them. The McComb MS cell is moving right into max STP parameters.

The HRRR has those cells in W LA going crazy once they hit that outflow boundary and bringing the risk right back up for MS. Thoughts on this? And that southern cell coming out of the LA panhandle is expected to be very discrete and it's gaining rotation quickly as it becomes more surface based.
