Severe WX Sunday March 3 Severe Threat

Watching it now, looks like the Eufaula area got hit hit really hard. Showing the destroyed fire department building right now.

That's at least the third tornado today with damage I've heard/seen that could potentially be as high as EF4. I highly doubt more than one if any at all get rated that high, but that many high end tornadoes in THIS part of AL/GA is extraordinary.

I think we can see it doesn't take a surface low deepening sub 1000mb moving from Shreveport to Memphis to Louisville with a negatively tilted trough, backed surface winds, and raging >2,000 J/KG CAPE to get significant tornadoes in the Deep South.

That looks really bad in Talbotton. Was wondering what happened there. Unfortunately I'm not surprised, given that incredibly intense TDS as the rotation passed over the town.

still a TDS with the storm that passed Eufaula, passing south of Lumpkin. which is the only real population center in that area until you get over to Americus

It just doesn't stop. Major TDS passing just south of Lumpkin, Georgia right now. Same cell that produced the Eufaula tornado.

like I mentioned earlier, Stewart is (I think) the second-least-densely populated county in the state, so this is thankfully passing over mostly open country
