Severe WX Severe Weather 4/24-4/26

Which Tornado was it. Seems like it was brought up around the time it got close to Fort Worth/Little outside of it.
It was the cell moving into DFW, it had a very broad and mean looking velocity couplet but the tornado itself was likely weak. This Runaway Bay tornado occurred before this tornado did, pretty sure it was the same storm though.

This could very well be the season where something really bad happens with this. We’ve had so many close calls with chasers (a lot of amateur ones when I say this) nearly causing fatal accidents or obstructing roads when a strong/intense tornado is nearby. I don’t even know if it take a faster moving deviant tornado like El Reno 2013 to get us there either.

I want to start chasing myself at some point because I want to get beautiful pictures, but this type of thing is making me think twice about it. I don't want to be around a million chasers that are insanely bloodthirsty and just need to get ahead of everyone regardless of potential cost.

Yep that's why I quit doing it. Other chasers are 10x more dangerous than being rolled by the storms themselves. If you want to go out I'd find a secondary target that you know won't be cluttered and do that.

I want to travel someday and bag a couple supercells/maybe a tornado or two in America. Maybe go on one of the chase tours when I'm a bit older. I would be happy enough with bagging at least one good tornado and i could live with that the rest of my life. But the amount of greed in chasing is absurd, and dangerous. It's a serious problem.

A very sneaky substantial tornado threat for western Oklahoma today
Particularly in southwest OK, convergence along the dryline will be almost nonexistent, however, forcing will actually be quite strong since the edge of the trough will be right next to it.
The forcing mechanism fully arrives at around 8pm. Look at how it progresses which does eventually initiate convection.

The hrr has repeatedly initiated spotty convection ahead of the dryline as a result. If the forcing mechanism can over come the weak inversion layer and dry vertical profile, expect sig or even VI tors. The kinematics in this environment are the highest of this year, Im seeing modeled STP exceeding 13 around the area in question.

There’s a real possibility this can get ugly.
Or the more likely scenario that this will be a blue sky bust idk..
