The storm west of Phil Campbell/Hackleburg is taking on supercellular characteristics. A pretty well defined mid level mesocyclone.

I'm back. Rotation went south of the house by 2 or 3 miles. Definitely a lot of hard rain (still falling) and some thunder. If there was any hail, it was small mixed with the rain...considering how much 60+ DBz values were headed here and over me, i'm really surprised i didn't hear anything a lot louder or distinct.

The storm approaching the southside of Huntsville needs to be watched. Rotation is broad but it looks better on the past couple of scans.
Im guessing today will be the usual nothing burger until the nocturnal jet kicks in? Seems to be the status quo here in the southeast lol

I'm hoping a lot of people in Mississippi and Alabama stay safe as the evening hours kick in.
