Northwestern Charles Mix County in south central South Dakota...
North central Gregory County in south central South Dakota...
South central Brule County in south central South Dakota...

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 508 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 10 miles east of Iona, or 15 miles south of
Chamberlain, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Charles Mix, north central Gregory and south central
Brule Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

in case if anyone was interested convective chronicles has a playlist one being a definitive guide to weather map analyst and also definitive guide to skew-t and hodographs i also found it helpful maybe as practice to watch a few or several older previous forecast discussions as well plus also other playlist guides as well or also rewatch the playlists i mentioned again over and over
 
What am I looking for? I don’t know what to see in this chart.

It's a Skew-T forecast sounding (box averaged over southern Wisconsin), the link @KakashiHatake2000 posted might be helpful for you.

I was mainly looking at the 0-3KM MLCAPE value (200 j/kg, which is quite high), 0-1 KM and 0-3 KM SRH values and the curvature in the low levels of the hodograph (portion on the upper right).

Yes the PW is rather high, but with less SR inflow in these Midwest summer MCV setups you can get smaller cells (mini supercells) that aren't as rainy as you'd otherwise expect.
