Elon Musk has people censored every day on Twitter. In fact, he frequently censors people on the basis of personal vendettas. Nonetheless, private platforms have the right to do so. But, to pretend he's a free speech hero is to be extremely uninformed on Elon's own love for censorship. Now that he's in a government role he's even posted numerous tweets wanting people to face legal consequences for wholly protected 1st amendment activity.

Also, I have long disliked Elon Musk. Before he ever posted a single political tweet I didn't like him. Why? Because he's a dishonest and deceitful charlatan who's wealth primarily comes from a company that was successful largely due to government tax credits, government subsidies, government financing, and government regulations.

I never cared one way or the other about Musk until I started reading about how unhinged he was as a boss. There was a long article in particular, maybe from the Atlantic but I don't remember, that really detailed how off the rails he really was. Back then, he was a darling of the left because of his EV's. My dislike for him didn't change with his political alliances.

Which brings me to another point - Elon Musk is Exhibit A when it comes to political hypocrisy. He was a hero to the left when Tesla took off, and the people on the right made fun of him. Now, he aligns himself with Trump (who really isn't a conservative), and the right worships him and the left lose their minds over him.

He's still the same crazy guy now as he was several years ago. It wasn't exactly a big secret if you just took the time to find out what he was all about.

And if you think it is only people on the left who are being impacted by these cuts, you are woefully misinformed. There are countless folks who are Republican yet rely upon things like Social Security, food, stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, the fruits and benefits of our cutting edge science and medical field discoveries that are subsidized by the government, education policies, veteran’s support programs, weather alerts, a functioning air traffic control system, and countless other government entities. This governmental teardown is cutting off one’s nose despite your face.

You do a good job of making things sound scary without actually providing context and facts. That "25% of all international funding" is.....$400m, or roughly 0.007% of our federal budget (https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/tuberculosis/usaid-funding-freeze-disrupts-global-tuberculosis-control-efforts#:~:text=That's because, as the lead,donor funding for the disease.). Also, our aid to Ukraine (why are we bringing that up? how is it relevant?) isn't just in money but also in defense/weapons transfers, a good chunk of which were just sitting idle in stockpiles.

And all those stats you cited about TB ignore one basic fact: global incidence and deaths of TB has been declining for a decade, progress that will almost certainly backtrack due to these cuts

As for your final point arguing that veterans are too dependent on our government, I suggest you go and make that argument to the faces of those who served. It's incredibly disingenuous to say that those who served and risked their lives to defend us are now too dependent on the government and thus not worth support.

There were 24 countries funded at up to $250 million a year. I'm not sure if Haiti is one of them. Also I don't trust anything that the WHO says because they wanted to create a global vaccine mandate in the next pandemic and they are part of the globalists who could bring about the one-world government of the apocalypse prophesied in the book of Revelation, along with their evil partners at the World Economic Forum.

It's the left who likes to make things sound scary, e.g.

• Everybody's going to die of COVID if we don't vaccinate the entire world
• We'll all be dead in 2050 from climate change if we don't stop eating meat and adopt the Green New Deal
• Racism and white supremacy are worse in America than they have ever been in history and they won't get any better until we abolish capitalism

Also I was saying illegal immigrants are too dependent on our government, not veterans, but the left has no problem putting illegal immigrants first over veterans and then stirring up horror stories about how cutting funding will severely harm our veterans.

….what is a “DEI teacher”? And if you’ve ever actually read Kendi’s work, you’d know that mutual aid, community-centric hospitality and support is a key part of his program. To claim that he simply wishes to pawn things off on the government is just astoundingly ignorant. Finally, since when do conservatives support giving money to the vulnerable? What policies are conservatives advocating that provide material aid to these poor, the sick, and the needy?

? Where on earth did I cite those? Are you saying that all the people who have been confirmed as being fired and the cuts confirmed by these agencies themselves aren't actually real?

So not only are you conditioned to hate 50% of your fellow citizens, you just ignore or claim as false any news that runs counter to your worldview. I reiterate that is a sad, shallow way to view the world, where you can't honestly re-evaluate your prior assumptions.

Perhaps because of hedonism and habit?



We're way smarter than the rat, but it takes self-confidence and, dare I say it, faith to look up, see the managerial desk and equipment in the background, and put 2 and 2 together. The easy way out, and this is personal experience talking, is to just keep on slappin' that ole lever and munching down the goodies in an ever more failing attempt to not see and to not think -- but a very successful progression into even more self-hate and addiction to the lever habit.

We can break that habit any time we want, because unlike the rat our life options are much better outside the box (with self-control) than in it.

That's one point for the Trumpeteers -- they're shocking a lot of apolitical people into thinking.
