Hurricane Hurricane Beryl

One thing that is worrying me is the persistent deep convection bubbling near the center. And looks like the center is gonna stay offshore of Jamaica which might lead to intensification again once passed the island. I'm still also not buying the due west movement yet either into the Yucatan. Yeah it's being affected by shear, but not to the extent most expected
Reminds me of Odile in the sense that it doesn't have an overly impressive appearance physically, but likely still packs a nasty punch.

Crazy stuff. Will be interesting to see what recon finds later this evening, but if the clearing continues, I would expect a ramp up in intensity if center can remain off Jamaica.

TCHP is off the charts, and shear isn't. I'm going to be "that guy" that says she makes another run at 5, and that the northern track of the cone is the most likely. If I'm wrong, I'll be glad to be.

That's what I'm thinking as well. shear hasn't made any difference and Jamaica hasn't yet either.

The difference in structure over 4 hours is remarkable.

That is worrisome.
While it does look very menacing in a very short time period, I’m struggling to see this going C5 again (at least for the time being.) When it re-emerges into the Gulf again, I can definitely see an intense episode of RI on the table though.

I think she'll be quicker than that.

This is Beryl basically

How’s the shear looking ATM and in the near future? Those values are probably why she’s been able to weather it so well in the first place, even intensify through it.
shear thru 48 hours via 12z Euro Ens. and current shear.
