From what I can tell, there has genuinely been an extremely intense snowstorm/blizzard that struck Kamchatka. However, a portion of the imagery in that post just AI slop. The first image shows a straight up unphysical amount of snow that would crush a skyscraper stacked on top of small apartment buildings. I despise instagram posts that are deliberately misleading like this.
It’s stupid too, because the real imagery is still jaw dropping, you don’t even need AI to clickbait people. I’m seeing reports that they got 16 feet of snow or something insane within a very short timeframe. Some of the imagery above is like 25 meters of snow, completely ludicrous.

For the record, my post isn’t directed at you at all, it’s just frustration on my part towards the accounts directly posting this themselves. A lot of the AI stuff I see is always exaggerated and promotes fear monger-ish behaviors, or is just straight up littered with misinformation. I’ve grown to really get annoyed with its use as of late.

Oh thats not good, went from 40% to 50% and getting a wee close to the 60% area, lets hope that that trends down and not up

Sneaky and intriguing signal on the back end of this 00Z GFS run for some of you Alabama folks who are disappointed about this weekend. At the very least it says the cold pattern is going to stick around long enough that you'll likely get another shot at some winter weather.

I know this will not verify, but that would we awesome for the entire state of Alabama to see some snow. But there will be no bread left in the grocery stores for people to buy

Yes!!! I checked your profiles.. you and Kevin H… stop the trolling!! Yeah mines not impressive.. at one time it was.. the old folks know me.. and most of them now run the resurrected Talkweather… you think my small score means little.. been on here over 20 years… my avatar.. a remembrance of a storm that baffled us all on a Feb 2…sometimes it’s better to learn in silence than to keep posting ignorance.
