It's hard to believe severe weather outlooks looked like this just a few years ago. Slight risk to boom you are in serious trouble.

It's also hard to believe that 10% tornado probs fell in the slight risk. It's amazing how long this poorly designed outlook thing went on.

I guess there’s still the question of whether slight < enhanced < moderate is a logical progression in terms of terminology (enhanced might sound like a higher threat level than moderate to a non-specialist).

Every year or two I find this video and rewatch it (now for the dozenth time) and I just realized it was uploaded by @Equus

Ahaha yep, even a little outdated since they hadn't fully finished surveys when I made it. Has it really been nine years now?! Cross-referencing and coordinating barely complete survey details and touchdown times between half a dozen WFOs was certainly an interesting task.

Interesting day in Baltimore. Started in the low 50's with occasional lightning in cloud, a few rumbles of thunder. Still in the low 50's with east wind at 500 ft. In the hills of west Baltimore.
Impressive warm surge with temps in the low to mid 80's in the Carolina's. Upper level energy moving NE. Still looks suspect..
