What’s the location of the jet?850mb Jet will be humming Saturday per tonight's NAM
Yeah. Nam really wanting pit lot west Tennessee in the Danger zone...6Z NAM looks nasty again for AR and MS, possibly southern TN and western AL, after 0Z took a bit of a step back. 12Z just starting to come in according to Pivotal.
Did you remove the sref sigtor graphic? This SPC SREF product has increased the threat from yesterday. Also, looks like this mornings GFS is 2mb lower on the surface low over Northern MO.And, here is an important parameter; The 0-1km SRH is at 420 on the 12Z NAM over North Mississippi and NW Alabama. Of course the lower level moisture needs to be there, and I think it will come up even more. The NAM has missed some events this year already. I think CAPE will average between 800-1250 across the same area on Saturday afternoon. Of note , one fcast sounding across West Tennessee shows a significant dry punch around 600-650 mb.
Thanks, it disappeared before I got a closer look.
I know we got a fairly potent system Saturday for south... but I can’t help look over my shoulder to that system next week.... both brows raised .... for now
Degree of forcing will likely result in a primarily damaging wind/QLCS event.CAPE on the GFS is low right now, but it looks like this weekend's front never really wipes the Gulf...more just hangs up in the coastal region with the moisture just waiting to be pulled north again by the next one.
Timing and SLP-track wise this one is strongly reminiscent of 3/13/90 or 3/12/06...could be a significant regional outbreak somewhere in the central CONUS if instability can verify on the higher end.
