Just getting off work so haven't had much time to focus on this until now, but on top of the issues with storms getting rooted in the boundary layer it seems to be taking on more of a clustered storm mode as opposed to totally discrete cells. Still has plenty of chances to become a nocturnal Dixie nightmare...
TOG with CC drop near Clarks, LA. I recall an EF2 in that area back in April 2018, and it’s mostly just trees and a wildlife refuge, so it probably isn’t hitting much.
