The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
* Until 700 PM CDT.
* At 619 PM CDT, a confirmed waterspout was located just offshore
near Lake Catherine, or 8 miles south of Slidell, moving northeast
at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed waterspout moving onshore.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornado will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern
St. Tammany Parish.
This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 262 and
263.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Me too! It’s beautiful outside here in North MS right now after storms this morning. Storms are to our west though, and we were just put under a tornado watch until 1 AM.HRRR intent on late night threat for MS and AL, with some possible development out ahead of the main MCS. Hope people will be aware as they go to bed tonight.
