I'm afraid they might. Especially for some of the storms in western Alabama. No guarantee but a increase in shear will happen

Ryan Hall just said there is a video of the Smithville tornado…
Just a increase in shear. The nocturnal jet. May give the boost of shear storms need if that's what they're lacking. It's a race against time though because instability will gradually start decreasing.
And then again it may not even matter messy convection in Alabama currently

We just had a heavy rain here in Hoover. I just don’t see us having any severe weather in Cen AL. Spann says things look less threatening now.

Haha, yeah it's pretty messy out there, but just keep a eye out as shear increases as the sun falls.

Yup, we probably will be good, I'm just hesitant on being caught off guard with storms at night, I've had two nocturnal tornadoes hit near me when I've been asleep at night. Both ef3s.

Center point January 2021 and January 2012. Those two events really have made me weary. The 2012 event had a girl die down the street from me

Man, thats icky. I’m sorry.
All good. I slept through the 2012 one and got a phone call at what 11:30 on the 2021 tornado. Ran to my neighbors basement with my wife as the CTG lighting was near constant. 2021 really scared me cause I just woke up and were in a very poor built home and it looked like a strong/violent tornado I was afraid I was gonna be swept away thankfully it lifted before directly hitting center point
Also the jasper storm is looking to try and strengthen it's broad rotation again.
