Severe Weather 3/4 - 3/8

Welp. Tops on the southern Kansas storm just shot back up to 40k feet.

At least three (possibly five) fatalities and twelve injuries have been confirmed so far from Union City, MI. Terrible day for that area.:(
Additionally, Lansing (in the same general area) is also suffering from flooding due to torrential rain.

Since there was a surprise significant tornado in a Marginal Risk in Michigan today, could we see a significant tornado in Alabama tomorrow despite the state only being in a Marginal Risk right now?
It's not out of the realm of possibility. In fact, I'm expecting the Level 2 risk to be extended into western/north Alabama (to at least Athens area) with a TOR upgrade to 5% CIG1.

Really curious about the 10 hatched expansion. I don't see anything at the moment that jumps out to me. Perhaps they're banking on further amplification of the nocturnal jet over time? Last night's Oklahoma tornadoes didn't start until late.
That storm was already rapidly rotating by this point last night. I just don’t see what they are seeing to warrant an upgrade. The discussion didn’t really have any reasoning either. Really strange. I’m more worried about flooding than tornadoes in SWMO… and I don’t think it’s going to flood.
