Yes, but I think in the rare cases they did occur they were an oversight by the forecaster, who didn't realize the mathematical contradiction that I outlined above.

With the issuance of Severe Thunderstorm Watch 12, this is the latest date (March 4th) for the 12th watch in the last 6 years. You have to go back to 2019 to find a later date for the 12th watch which was March 9th.

GFS has been mighty consistent with the SCP for Friday. It seems it and the Euro aren't going to get on the same page at all, and it'll be up to the CAMs to show us wtf is going to happen.




Also the HRRR is spawning some very mean looking supercells tomorrow evening
