Severe Weather 2025

Was stuck at work when the good stuff happened. I was in the director's chair when we first went live. Pulled up our former chief engineer's webcam at his house in Dodgeville and could see the rotation was taking shape practically right on top of it. I kept taking it (one of the main reasons I got into local news was to be involved with live severe weather coverage, and this was the first opportunity I've had in 12 years to put a tornado live on air) and our producer (who knows nothing about storm structure) kept telling me to go back to the radar. Sigh.

Dashed home to grab my cameras when my shift ended, went for the cell that had started in Green County but it was starting to look like crap by the time I was able to get on it near Oregon. Stuck with it though and it went tornado-warned again near Cambridge. Got a brief look at an updraft base with a clear slot near Lake Mills, but nothing too organized.
