Severe Weather 2025

I second that. We don’t keep score around here on forecasts, but I remember you pretty adamantly talking about the high ceiling of April 2nd and how it was the day to watch for. Including when myself and many others were scratching our heads at what the hell Broyles was doing and how the preceding April 1st event over Oklahoma may be the headlining day(even more kudos to you because you stated you weren’t impressed with the 4/1 set up and it ended up being a bu$t)
Thanks guys!

Looking ahead. Starting look
Interesting around first may for the md south region. Maybe one last gasp of hope to chase close by till fall severe season
I really thought that MJO wave would have cycled around for end of April and the Deep South would have had another few rounds. but looks like the pattern is already showing shifts away to the plains season.

Anything upcoming for the Deep South or can we relax until a Tropical System comes through?
I am not seeing any major threats showing up for the next 10 days or so. I have seen some increased CAPE for SE around 5/1-5/2, but even there I am not seeing enough shear for anything signficant. Not an expert by any means, but with what I know and am seeing, I can't find anything alarming. Maybe something more pointed towards the Mid-South as alluded to earlier, but too early to define any specifics.

Yeah, I think the timeframe of interest for that MJO for the Deep South was supposed to be April 13-29, but as you mentioned it seems to be aiming towards the Plains now.
