Severe Threat May 15-16, 2025

I thought there were at least a few more than that.
It definitely feels that way, but that's probably due to the fact that (if this sequence breaks 100) the 2020s have had the most 100+ tornado outbreaks than any other decade and we're only halfway through the 2020s.

2019 was one I believe.

May 17th-30th 2019 was the 2nd largest tornado outbreak sequence ever recorded (400 tornadoes), and it was only two tornadoes shy of the record. Good memory! I'll post the chart in the Severe Weather thread later.

The St. Louis tornado causing fatalities is really sad. I’m not sure it was as high-end of a tornado as some of the ones we just saw over the past 2-3 hours, but that doesn’t matter in situations like this. I wonder if the roof collapse mentioned earlier in the thread is where some of those fatalities took place?
Yeah the timing could not have been worse for short lived tornado in the worse possible place..
