Fox 5 showing VTI of 8.4 on the cell heading roughly for me (Hampton, McDonough, Covington) I'm in Conyers, but everything is trending slightly north tonight. GR3 had 117kts Gate to Gate on this thing.

Will somebody check the White County cell on GR3 for me? Having problems with connection.

Looks like the Tuscaloosa cell has finally been torn apart in the North Carolina mountains, though it still appears to be dropping some hail.

That said, the severe threat is still very real for us NC folks.

OMG, it was scary! We were in a tornado warning, even TWC zoomed in on us in Bristol and it was headed right for us (hook echo). We had huge spiked hail... I cant get logged into my photobucket account to post, the power went out and it knocked me off of everything and cant remember my password.

very broad weak rotation..maybe 40kts GTG if that..Very disorganized on br/tops/vil

That's the number I'm getting too... I'd imagine the official number won't go much higher as the storms have been out of the state for a while. Deadliest tornado day in MS since... IDK when. Too busy to look it up. At least since 92.

I just don't know what else to say. It's been a VERY sobering day here in the FOX 6 StormWarn Center. I never thought I would use the words "VIOLENT TORNADO EMERGENCY!!!" as the header for a storm tracker pathcast box on air... but we did a few different times today.

That thing began as a little spinning shower around 1230 pm CDT just a smidge SW of my house in Brandon MS. Didn't take very long for it to look much more ominous.

Yes, very sad day, and as I type this, debris ball in a tornado in southern eastern suburbs of Atlanta.

That is the single most amazing storm I think I have ever seen. That thing traveled more than 500 miles and survived 3k-4k foot peaks for nearly 100 of that. Absolutely stunning.
