The Superecell of the day is in Tallahatchie Co., MS...very dangerous developing tornadic HP moving towards NW alabama eventually over the next 2 hours...

Maybe the supercell of the day so far... but this storm is barely inching into the MDT area so far. I horrendously doubt this will be the biggest storm of the day.

82/69 here yes DP almost 70!

Appears a boundry over W AL may be the focus for development over next 2hrs/probably explosive too when it starts......

Either Dan is waiting for the big one or he's out of town.

He's out of town. Coming back today. Probably back at the station tonight I'd needed.

Anybody know why SPC didn't expand the tornado probs? Just wonderin. Also any reason they are holding the wind at 45% instead of throwing a 60% in there in the same vicinity of the 45% tornado probs?

Down Eastern Valley road, from McAshan to Kimbrell Cutoff - trees down everywhere, power lines crossing the road at several points. Given that the damage just starts and stops it's hard to believe it was just straight-line winds, but the survey will tell for certain I guess.

If it wasnt a tornado I don't want to be in one. It snapped off one of my pines about 30ft off the ground a blew o pergola over that weight every bit of half a ton. Not to mention rearranging my deck furniture. I live on eastern valley road just up from macashan. That sound when it came through was awful. Sounded like a bunch of helicopters going over the house. (i just can't bring myself to say train, but it did sound like a train LOL)

Confirmed 5th fatality in Alabama. Man in Vestavia Hills was killed by a falling limb as workers were cutting through downed trees in his front yard. Sad.
