Looks like someone lit a blowtorch over E Texas and LA then turned it off. Time to get ready for round 2.

there is a bit of a notch in the storm and velocity data indicates a small rotation.

Had a feeling that was coming. Video 3 days ago warned they may need to be raised to extreme. Just sends chills down your spine when you in the heart of bmx's cwa.

Not even close. Thought I do wonder if this line might stabilize things in NW AL for later on.

We're seeing reports of the sun coming out all over the Metro (I'm at WXIA off of I-85 in Midtown), including here at the station as I look out the window. Haven't been out lately, but this looks like it'll be a character builder.

It kind of feels like supercell storms will eventually begin forming south ahead of the line moving into Alabama in the warm sector as the atmosphere destabilizes behind the early morning MCS. Regardless of the exact convective evolution, it feels like a very dangerous afternoon, perhaps the most dangerous over Alabama and west Georgia since 4/8/98.

Yea I'm pretty much mostly sunny, a few clouds around. Dewpoint has risen to 67. Temp at 72...We are expected to be near 85 today. If we get that warm, today might not be a good day...

EHI of 10+ (up to 12) for central AL/ BHM this afternoon.... at the risk of overstating this, quite honestly I don't ever remember seeing numbers that high.
