Severe WX May 2019 Plains Severe Event

Some stuff even firing down in Texas now... the event might not be over in the western watch. The storms that have survived have deeper reflectivity cores now.

Huge wall cloud with multiple spin-ups on several different streams.

Cell blowing up west of Wichita Falls, but we'll see if anything out there survives

So many supercells but really only a couple taking off. I guess they're only now entering decent shear though.

It may be premature to say this, and I might be wrong, but outside of the one larger tornado we've seen I'm not sure how either one of these tornado watches should've been PDS. Hindsight is 20/20 as we've all discussed over the past few days, and these forecasts have been quite difficult, but PDS watches are supposed to be reserved for a few times a year...

Yeah the PDS designation seems entirely unwarranted especially for the southern box. Low probability of even initiating at all plus meh low level shear at issuance does not scream PDS

Yeah Wichita Falls storm might be about to go big time. Also stuff exploding in MO/KS

Very intense couplet gonna eventually go just N of Joplin. Another tor warning for Tulsa metro.
