Severe WX May 2019 Plains Severe Event

Even the storms aren't done in Tulsa. This cell is yet to be tornado warned.
 
Yeah that's a bad situation, it seems to have hooked a little left which would put it dangerously close.
 
That rotation definitely hooked a left and is headed directly into a densely populated area.

Edit: It did get a PDS at some point.
 
Massive TDS on Jefferson City storm.
 
Debris possibly to 15-20k ft right before entering town; this could be a violent tornado

Absolutely embarrassing that the Mizzou Radar has been down since April. Would've been so useful for today. Now you have a tornado going through the State Capital...
 
Looks like it took a right turn and hammered the south side of town. The velocity signature isn't that strong, so I'm HOPING this is a weaker tornado, but with a debris signature like this...
 
Can't get a much more direct hit than that. Given debris height and TDS path we just witnessed a nighttime violent tornado directly strike a state capital.

Given the issues with radars at that distance, maybe it missed downtown, but we can only hold our breaths and wait for reports to know for sure
