Severe WX March 30th- April 1st 2023 (South, Southeast, Ohio Valley, Upper Midwest)

NWS doesn't seem convinced, either. New warning is radar indicated.

It could’ve been a brief touchdown and a very weak TDS, but it’s hard to say.

It’s not the most scientific way, but google maps traffic shows no evidence of a tornado through Piney or north of Hot Springs. Edit: there is some slow traffic in Piney, might have some damage there

@Casuarina Head @ColdFront and others. Just know you can either talk about the current weather, it's outlook, and anything to do with it, remove personal attacks and condescending remarks. There are people who are going through storms and there are issues happening that are more important. If you cannot focus on that, I am going to ask that you refrain from posting. Thank you.

Lots of talk of a TDS, but it seems to be classic side lobe contamination from what I can see. Not saying there wasn't a tornado, but I don't believe that was debris on the radar given it was located in the inflow region.

Looks like the Hot Springs cell did a cycle, couplet weakened and now looks pretty potent again.

The Crittenden tornado on 3/2/2012 formed w/ surface temps in the upper 50s or lower 60s, not sure what the dewpoint was but I'd imagine it was close to that.
I remember the NE-Mid Atlantic outbreak 3 years back had upper 50s dewpoints, including an EF3. BUT none of the cells produced any thunder. Still, yeah, the sub 60 dewpoints buoyancy make me question a significant outbreak of high end tornadoes . I can't help but think that this limits the northern outbreak to an extent.

I’ve defaulted to watching Ryan Hall. I think he’s pretty good and has a lot of simultaneous livestreams from chasers.
