Yeah, Sharkey and Issaquena are both in the bottom 100 counties in the entire US in terms of per capita income. These communities are going to need a lot of help to recover from this.Conversations from earlier today about social vulnerability and severe weather impacts are sadly showing their relevance tonight.
It’s picked up the last two hours - but yeah, pretty much. One big one, handful of othersBeen busy so haven’t been able to track much, but is this looking like an event where there was just one monster tornado and a handful of others, or a legit outbreak? Not aware of anything else significant besides the long tracker that hit Rolling Fork, but I’ve been distracted.
The rolling fork one was about the only one today. It just hit many cities unfortunatelyBeen busy so haven’t been able to track much, but is this looking like an event where there was just one monster tornado and a handful of others, or a legit outbreak? Got the look of the Steele/Hayti MO tornado from 12/10/2021.
There hasn't been a lot of action outside of the one big storm, so the potential for widespread discrete convection didn't materialize, but obviously it only takes one.Been busy so haven’t been able to track much, but is this looking like an event where there was just one monster tornado and a handful of others, or a legit outbreak? I’ll be interested in the AAR(after action report) on what caused the widespread discrete mode to fail. It’s been a grungy mess since the beginning. There hasn't been a lot of action outside of the one big storm, so the potential for widespread discrete convection didn't materialize, but obviously it only takes one.
Can we just can it on this already? Widespread discrete mode was already a question mark, but we've had a lot of destruction tonight and this is the furthest thing from a Forecasted Convective Amplification Deficiency.I’ll be interested in the AAR(after action report) on what caused the widespread discrete mode to fail. Agreed. Can we just can it on this already? Widespread discrete mode was already a question mark, but we've had a lot of destruction tonight and this is the furthest thing from a Forecasted Convective Amplification Deficiency.

Yeah, watching it closely. SVR just issued.florence and tuscumbia AL are gonna need to watch the booneville MS storm
Find me one indication in my post I said it was even close to a Forecasted Convective Amplification Deficiency? So we aren’t allowed to ask questions now? Over storm mode? What exactly is your overall issue with my post? Can we just can it on this already?
