Severe WX March 23-25th, 2023

Hints of a confluence band in C MS north of that current tornado warned supercell... wonder if these will eventually mature and become tornadic or not.

That storm that went through Mendenhall has really held together structurally, which is surprising to me, given that it hasn't been able to root. It's recycled at least once that I've noticed.

I see some rotation in that main line around Hughes, AR, just north of Marianna. Pretty classic looking inflow structure there, and a healthy hail core.

Too many people writing off this event for a cell that is well east of the best low-level shear and on the border of the better low-level moisture. Give it time, this event wasn't supposed to take off until at least 00z anyways.
Right the SPC (consistently) said tge “best time” would be between 5p-12a. We still have a few more hours.

Remember Dixie doesn’t like to play by the rules and likes to throw curve balls.

Looks like everything that might have fired in Louisiana has died off except that one cell now north of Delhi...which if it survives is gonna be moving right into that radar hole.
Yeah I know those were pegged as potential supercells when they moved into the more favorable environment, but they didn’t stick around sans the Delhi one.
