This 700 mb WAA is probably the reason for some of the struggling in the open warm sector.

Mississippi storm is really starting to hook.
It's really starting to take off with the mesocyclone, let's see if it maintains this rapid strengthening
interesting.
Also feel like every event this year has been having this patented “struggling to get going”, whether it be the map above or too much shear etc

That cell south of Crossett, AR looks problematic. While it is in the middle of the radar hole, keep an eye on COW1 as it's approaching their location.

Just went tornado warned.
Mid level rotation with that cell is starting to really crank. It may start going very soon.
Looking at tilt 3 cause its so close. Probably will start translating further down.

...and most runs of the HRRR suggested there wouldn't be any supercells in MS until a couple hours from now with storms coming out of Louisiana just barely ahead of the frontal QLCS. I said it earlier, but definitely not one of its finer performances with this event.
