Recon found 990 extrapolated, I would guess 995 or so when the drop comes.

The shear is not playing. I can not imagine it not being a huge player.
Makes me curious why NHC is so bullish on bringing it up to a high-end C2. Obviously Gulf bathwater will help, but shear just looks outright hostile for any TC over the northern half of the area right now.
18z nam is a good bit west than most models. Almost comically.
12Z ECMWF is MS coast still.
If the euro and nam are true this will widen the warm sector for feeder band tornadoes, something to watch

A Hurricane Watch is up now between the Louisiana/Mississippi border and Apalachacola, Florida.
65 MPH sustained at 5 PM EDT/4 PM CDT. Strengthening quickly. Still progs max intensity of 110 MPH sustained at 1 PM Friday. Still surprised at how confident they are on a landfall near Mobile/Pensacola. TS Watches go almost up to Montgomery.

James Spann seemed optimistic the heaviest weather would be out of Tuscaloosa in time for the Bama/Georgia game Saturday night.
